Mission Statement

Jefferson County Horse Evacuation Assistance Team, or Jeffco HEAT, was formed to safely provide the highest quality of large animal evacuation assistance in times of fires, natural disasters, vehicle accidents and impounds. This volunteer group will provide assistance to Jefferson County, Colorado but is willing to help other entities when in need. This service will be provided by demonstrating consistency, reliability and professionalism. Furthermore, each animal will be handled with the care, dignity, respect and attention to safety which they deserve.

Membership is governed by the Jeffco HEAT ByLaws. Click the membership link on the left provided on this page to view the qualifications and requirements.
